Organic Cotton

Cold machine wash with mild eco detergent and line dry in shade. For rib or knit items, always dry and store flat to avoid stretching out of shape. Do not bleach, tumble dry or soak for long periods. Cool iron if necessary

Modal Intimates

Modal is a soft but delicate fabric. We recommend hand wash for shape retention & longevity, as machine washing was can be too aggressive. Wash with mild eco detergent & line dry. Do not bleach, tumble dry or soak.

Hemp

Hemp is durable and our hemp items are pre-washed and garment dyed. We suggest a cold machine wash with mild eco detergent & a low tumble dry. Do not bleach or soak for long periods. Cool iron if necessary.

Cool over Cold

Today smart washers have a specific temperature range for “Cool” settings (usually 20-30 °C), meaning that if the water that comes out of the tap is colder than the set temperature, the machine will add a bit of hot water to adjust. If your machine has a “Tap Cold” setting or ability to override your cool setting to cold water straight from the tap, we recommend using it to ensure no hot water is added. Not only does cold water washing save energy, it protects your clothes from shrinkage, weakening of fibres and colour fading.

Merino Wool

Turn your garments or socks inside out first. Cold machine wash with wool or mild detergent on a wool or delicates cycle and line dry in shade. Wools in-built odour resistance and anti-bacterial properties means you can air dry overnight for extra wear but be careful - stains and body oils attract moths. To prevent damage from wardrobe bugs ensure your garment is clean before putting away and store with cedar blocks or in airtight bags in-between seasons. Do not bleach, tumble dry or soak for long periods. Cool iron if necessary.
